As a
Senior Product Manager , the person will own responsibility for the full product line P&L as well as have a keen eye for gaps and needs and an innovative mindset for filling them. This person should be extremely adept in data analytics with a proven ability to effectively manage the full lifecycle of a product, from conception to release to rationalization. We're looking for a confident and technical leader who can guide cross-functional teams in the sustainment and creation of products that improve customer experience and achieve profitable growth.
Location:
Prefer candidates located in the Chicago or Denver area. Hybrid schedule/onsite 2 - 3 days per week.
Approximately 20% travel.
Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesDrive the P&L performance and customer experience for the assigned product line(s)Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements, roadmap development, and product launchDevelop and implement the long-term product strategy and roadmap for assigned product line in coordination with the global Industrial Automation teamCreate product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROITranslate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teamsAnalyze market data, VoC and VoS to develop sales strategies, and define product objectives for effective marketing communications and business growthAnalyze returns, win/loss sales and quoting data relating to the product line to identify opportunities for product offering optimizationInitiate, maintain and support the execution of product rationalization strategyCollaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams in the development, release of products, and balance resources to ensure success for the entire organizationAssist Sales in the Go to Market strategies related to Indirect, Direct, and Digital channelsMonitor & benchmark competitor's pricing and product / segment strategies (with support of Pricing Director)Assist in market mapping and development of verticals growth strategies (market development)Develop product positioning strategies, and messaging that differentiates brands across primary marketSupport Growth Hub program initiatives to help create and develop future products with IA PM DirectorExpertise Required

Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited college or university in engineering, business administration, marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 7 years of previous sales, engineering, or marketing experience. 5+ years of Product Management experience preferred.Domain expertise in pneumatic, electric, or motion control components. 5+ years of experience preferred.Experience solving problems related to operations, engineering, distribution, and supply chain.Proven track record in a metrics-focused environment including weekly and monthly quarterly reporting and analysis.Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)This position will have supervisory responsibilities with leading a team up to (4) individuals.Ability to travel approximately 20%.What IMI Can Offer You
