ZF Active Safety and Electronics US, LLC has job openings for the position of Principal Software Engineer based out of its location in Farmington Hills, MI.
Job Duties: Responsible for automotive embedded systems and firmware software tasks and release planning and monitoring throughout the entire software lifecycle; Ensure project deliveries are on schedule; Identify risks and develop mitigation plans; Identify resource needs and skills required for the project; Develop resource ramp-up plan to meet customer timelines; Follow a defined software process (ASPICE) to ensure quality software is delivered; Interface with the customer for software deliveries, requirement analysis, and software roll-out planning; Provide regular updates to management on project status; Provide technical direction to the ADAS Camera software development team allocated for the project; Oversee software requirements, architecture and integration work packages and deliveries to the customer; Ensure project expenses are within the project budget allocated for software development; Coordinate internal cross-functional teams and third parties/vendors for execution of projects; Support new business acquisition by requirement analysis, effort estimation, and technical solution proposals. A hybrid (in-office and telecommute) work schedule is available.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of experience in embedded software development for automotive applications, including 3 years of project management experience, and demonstrated experience with: Embedded "C" language; Requirements Analysis; Static analysis tools (QAC and Polyspace); MISRA; ASPICE software process methods and issue tracking system; Microsoft Project; AGILE methodology for product development; AUTOSAR architecture; and CAN.
