Kraemer North America is currently looking for a
Structures Superintendent
to join our National Railroad Group. The Structures Superintendent is responsible for coordinating resources (manpower & equipment), managing, and directing the project foremen and crews, and staffing project labor requirements. The Structures Superintendent assists the PM and/or PE with preparing and updating project schedules, work activity planning (WAP), TEAM safety meetings, and coordinating subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient construction of projects. As a Structures Superintendent, you may be responsible for certain scopes of work on a larger project or managing similar scopes of work between multiple smaller projects. This position has direct profit loss responsibility along with the Project Manager for assigned projects.

Responsibilities
Monitor project progress, and ensure safe and quality products and/or projects are completeResponsible for craft labor hires, layoffs, and terminationsComplete weekly equipment reportingConduct daily and weekly site safety auditsSet and achieve daily, weekly, monthly production goals (utilizing Heavy Job system)Complete daily diaries and documentation in Heavy JobCoordinate subcontractors; communicate issues and concerns to project managementCoordinate manpower, materials, and equipmentAssist with interviewing, selecting, and training new employeesDirect daily crew workAppraise employees' productivity; recommend promotions or changes in statusAssist in maintaining project cost control and efficiencyDevelop and maintain project or scope lookahead schedulesPlan the work; determine techniques, materials, supplies, equipment, and tools to be usedPerform project set-up: permits, licenses, office space, materialsPerform project start-up: mobilization, material, manpowerPerform project close-out work activitiesEstablish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedulesAdminister and ensure compliance with Kraemer safety protocols and assist with overseeing Quality ProgramsCoordinate the training of new employeesOversee daily TEAM meetings conducted by foremenAnalyze and resolve work problems that may developWork with the Project Manager and Project Engineer on determining formwork and falsework systems and methodsAssist Project Engineer with reporting quantitiesDetermine safe slope conditions, assist in formwork design, and activity sequencingDevelop and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly goals to Kraemer crewsParticipate in weekly meetings with owners and subcontractorsMaintain safe practices and procedures on the job siteMentor and develop project staffBe a steward of Kraemer with respect to the clients and subcontractors and suppliers that Kraemer works for or withEnsure compliance with EEO/Affirmative Action contract requirementsDemonstrate leadership of Kraemer's safety cultureQualifications
High School Diploma or EquivalentWorking knowledge of applicable standards, specifications, codes, regulations, and lawsMinimum 10 years of experience in heavy highway transportation, preferably bridge structures focusMinimum 5 years of experience as a structures foremanSteel erection experience desiredUnderstand Alternative Delivery ContractsExperience in budget managementAbility to interact and communicate effectively both internally and with Kraemer's clients and partnersDemonstrate leadership skillsBenefits
