Yokogawa is looking to hire an Engineering Manager responsible for leading and managing the global talent within the Services organization to develop and oversee a Career Development and Competency framework. This position will enhance the employee experience, and mitigate the current risks to business continuity regarding, career development, field readiness, retention and brand value to the customer, candidates, and community. The role will also include supervisory and technical duties, project management, and providing mentorship to Regional Service Managers. Proficiency with Yokogawa technology is highly desirable.

Notable responsibilities for this role are:

Competency Identification and Mapping:Identifying current and future knowledge requirements for service engineers.Creating individual learning plans, considering both employee development and business continuity needs.Succession Planning:

Assessing current organization capability and gaps to create an inventory of applicable competencies mapped to employee capability for development and succession planning.Create and build external talent pipeline partnerships.Introduction of an early career Service Rotational Program.Other responsibilities include:

Leadership and Management:

Lead and manage Service Engineering Career Development within the assigned section, ensuring profitable development and alignment with strategic goals.Training and Development : Identifying training needs, developing training courses, and arranging for training on new product features are key aspects of the role.Supervisory Responsibilities : This role involves managing technical and administrative sections with Regional Service Managers, monitoring workloads, reassigning team responsibilities, and promoting cross-training and collaboration.Personnel Management : The manager will oversee personnel requisitions, identify, and interview candidates, review timesheets and expense reports, and conduct performance appraisals.Technical Duties : Technical consulting on proposals, project and service execution, managing field surveys, designing automation functions, and ensuring compliance with project quality standards.Project Management : Evaluate proposals and oversee multiple projects, ensuring the successful delivery of projects involving advanced automation technologies and managing all aspects of project execution.Travel Requirements : The position requires traveling 20% to 30% of the time to manage various responsibilities.Qualifications : Applicants must have a BS or MS degree in Engineering or relevant disciplines, with extensive experience.
