DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role, you will conduct formal psychiatric evaluations and assess all psychiatric diagnoses. You will review patient cases and documentation, evaluate medications, and make necessary adjustments to ensure effective psychopharmacological treatment for each patient. Additionally, you will carry out competency assessments. You will lead the treatment team, overseeing the development and execution of individualized treatment plans, ensuring proper documentation, and providing guidance to interdisciplinary staff to guarantee the daily implementation of active treatment programs. Furthermore, you will review and assess discharge planning while documenting each patient's progress towards community placement.

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Completion of a residency or training program in psychiatry which meets the certification requirements of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry.Special Requirements:
This position requires possession of a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Board of Medical Education and Licensure, or the State Board of Osteopathic Examiners.
