The role of an Electrical Assembly Technician is assembly, electrical wiring, machine set up, check out, training. Compliance to company ERP system to assist with production and project work reporting, managing job tasks and helping the organization keep the customer database in pristine condition. This role is responsible for understanding the company electrical and technical needs to achieve company and customer needs. Responsibilities for this position also include establishing and maintaining industry and electrical knowledge, working with Project Managers and cross functional teams to solve an organization's technical challenges. Expert in industry, packaging machines and technical skill sets.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Build and wire electrical panelsMaintain machine production scheduleComply with machine scope of workAccepts daily responsibilities on shop floorTroubleshoot safety circuitsMarkup schematics to reflect as built machineProvide direction to other employees to complete electrical assembly tasksCommunication with the production and service teamsStudy and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of technical services teamWork with technical team and share information across the organizationMake appropriate recommendations based on project scopeInstall and wire vendor equipmentMaintains accountability and serviceability of all electrical related tasksConducts tests and inspects equipmentDevelops and maintains electrical processes to evaluate quality or performanceRecords and reports all faults and deficiencies related to wiring on machines or vendor equipmentEnsure compliance with NFPA, NEC, ULProvide power to machines and vendor equipmentUtilize manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projectsFollow company's procedures and protocolsWorks with internal departments as neededPerforms other duties as assignedTravel as requiredDesired Skillsets:

1 to 3 years of experience building electrical panels1 to 3 years of experience wiring machineryJourneyman ElectricianWorking knowledge of NFPA, NEC and ULMechanical proficiencyAbility to read schematics and wiring diagramsKnowledge of food/washdown wiring best practicesOther Misc.

Hours:

Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. with a ½ hour unpaid lunch (can be flexible). Work overtime when required. Travel as needed.
