Crane operators are responsible for operating cranes to lift, move, position, and place materials, and equipment. The crane operator will work on construction sites, ports, or any place where cranes are used.
Operate cranes to lift and move materials, equipment, or machinery.Review and interpret lift plans to determine the appropriate crane to use, rigging equipment needed, and load capacity.Inspect and maintain the crane, ensuring it is in good working condition.Follow safety guidelines and procedures to ensure that work is performed safelyCommunicate effectively with site supervisors, signal persons, and other personnel to ensure a safe and efficient operation.Maintain logs and records of crane operations, including maintenance, inspections, and repairs.Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements
A minimum of 4 years of experience operating cranes in the field.Must have NCCO certification on large and small hydraulic cranes.Must be physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions.Ability to read and interpret lift plans and specifications.Knowledge of safety procedures, regulations, and standards.Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.Valid driver's license.Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
