Southeastern Rheumatology Alliance is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team in Gainesville, GA. The Rheumatology Physician Assistant provides advanced medical care to patients with rheumatological disorders, including arthritis, lupus, and other autoimmune conditions. The PA conducts assessments, creates treatment plans, and collaborates with the healthcare team to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients presenting with rheumatological symptoms.Perform physical examinations and obtain detailed patient histories.Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests and imaging studies.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and patient needs.Prescribe medications, including disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) and biologics, and manage medication therapies.Work closely with rheumatologists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans.Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards and regulations.Assist with quality improvement initiatives and clinical research.
Qualifications:Current and valid Physician Assistant license in the state of Georgia.Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
