Our complete array of food packaging serves a variety of markets, including fruit, vegetables, dairy, fish, meat, ready meals, pet food, infant milk powder and other dry food products. Location:
Plant 37 is located in Hanover, PA. The Plant manufactures 2-piece and 3-piece steel cans for the food industry, working both continuous and conventional shifts. There are approximately 85 employees at the Hanover location. The Plant is located on Route 194 in York County and is in close proximity to Gettysburg PA, York PA and the Maryland border.
Position overview:
The Palletizer Operator works closely with Supervision and Quality to ensure optimum levels in Quality Inspections, Package identification, and Final packaging.
Duties And Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the palletizer operator responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:
Understand and follow verbal instructions to completion of assigned tasksResponsibility of maintaining the palletizer operation of the food can package process with a focus on optimizing Safety, Quality, Productivity and SpoilageResponsible for the operations of one or more machines or equipment for the production of 2 piece or 3 piece steel cansAbility to safely operate, identify basic mechanical problems, and the maintaining of process equipmentCommunicates all pertinent information between management, co-workers, and between shifts on changes to equipment, production problems or any other related informationAssists and trains and/or coaching of all new palletizer operators as needed or requiredApplies skills, methods to improve plant productionResponsible in following SOP’s, Plant Rules, 6S Housekeeping, maintaining equipment and modifications of existing production standards to achieve optimal efficienciesEnter information into a computer to generate labels for the palletsPerform visual quality checks as required, record accurate quality records and other documentations as requiredComplete and/or administer necessary documentation such as monthly SAFE cards, accident/near miss/hazard reporting, and data process control inputAttend shift meetings and participate as neededCollaborate with other operators to ensure a smooth transition between shiftsPerforms other job-related duties as required or assigned

Preferred Requirements
