The Project Director is responsible for estimate generation and the management of reconstruction projects from contract signing to final payment. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining relationships with insurance contacts to acquire job referrals, finalizing the scope of work, and working with the Superintendent to ensure any changes to the scope of work are communicated and approved by the customer and insurance company in order to complete the job and bill accurately. This position manages customer expectations, while maintaining the highest levels of customer care.

Responsibilities

The Project Director will perform the following duties along with any additional duties as assigned by management per business needs.

Act as a main point of contact for customers, insurance adjusters and office staff. Review onsite conditions, complete walkthrough with insurance adjustor/representative, and write up scope of work and estimate. Obtain signed performance authorization from owners. Ensure all emergency jobs are complete and safe prior to reconstruction. Work with customers to gain reconstruction business after mitigation. Work closely with Superintendent and coordinate permit pulls, staffing, materials, etc. to complete projects on time and within budget. Communicate with the project coordinator and/or division leader to ensure each project is on track from both a timeline and budget standpoint. Determine necessary steps to start job production while additional resources are being deployed. Determine when to extend beyond standard protocol to resolve any potential issues or secure potential work. Assist with orders, complete approvals, and upload paperwork for accurate billing. Participate in bi-weekly Work-In-Progress (WIP) reviews. Establish relationships with subcontractors and material suppliers to increase future job efficiencies. Manage the execution of change orders and communication of changes to all stakeholders. Manage conflict resolution between all stakeholders. Participate in an on-call schedule for after-hours service calls. Qualifications

3-5 years of project management experience in the construction and / or restoration industry. High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred. Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per company policy. Strong leadership skills with capabilities to facilitate company teamwork to achieve business goals. Strong ability to foster business development networks within various restoration organizations. In depth knowledge and proficiency using Xactimate to estimate mitigation or reconstruction projects. IICRC WRT, FSRT Certifications preferred Xactimate level 1 certification preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with managing cost controls, budgeting, and forecasting. Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 50 LBS and occasionally climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work in extreme hot, cold and humid conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Fine hand manipulation (keyboarding). Must be able to access and navigate all areas of a construction/restoration site in all types of weather. Environmental Conditions
