Summary:

A minimum of four to five years' experience preferred; the Data Engineer is responsible for the design and build of cloud-based data solutions, working with other team members to manage the development and maintenance of business intelligence and data quality compliance tools. This individual will also work closely with internal Data Strategy and Analytics, Investment and Planning teams, acting as the subject matter expert in the tools and processes they manage, along with being able to gather knowledge from other SMEs and requirements from key stakeholders. In their role, they will also manage the creation of project plans, prioritization of tasks, and hold all responsible parties to deadlines and deliverables. They will report to the Director and will provide overviews of project status, progression, and roadblocks. This role requires a strong familiarity with all available analytics and technology tools, both syndicated and proprietary.

Responsibilities:Work closely with a team of data engineers, developers and UX designers to create our data pipeline and workflows to support our media performance reporting. Manage the design, build and maintenance phases of client reporting projects.Work with offshore team on CI/CD pipelines.Work with client stakeholders to define and document data architecture and reporting/visualization requirements.Migrate the internal teams from legacy data platforms to the new data platform, ensuring data quality and provide going support and maintenance.Deploy new client teams to the cloud data solutions, providing guidance and support throughout the onboarding process.Define QA guidelines and automate the current QA process.With support from the Director, develop tools, process, and best practices to achieve workflow efficiencies and drive value for client teams and clients.Act as the subject matter expert for questions/projects relating to data quality, BI tools, business rules; Ensure that best practices are being followed amongst all projects.Must familiarize themselves with the full campaign implementation workflow across all functional teams, including campaign set up, launch, testing, reporting and reconciliation.Stay up to date and informed on changes and evolution of industry topics; support POV development and provide thought leadership on data privacy laws, third-party measurement tools and space, consumer marketplace, vertical expertise etc.Facilitate communication and progression of tasks through regular status meetings and working sessions; proactively elevate and resolve project roadblocks and issues; keep track of and manage a high volume of tasks across multiple stakeholders and projects.Builds positive relationships with internal teams; effectively communicate roles, responsibilities, and expectations.Systems & Tools:

Advanced knowledge of databases and data warehouses such as SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift, Snowflake, etc.Advanced knowledge of one or more programming languages: Python, etc.Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, GCP, AWS.Knowledge of data engineering platform such as Databricks.Familiarity with project/product management tools like Jira, Confluence, Smartsheets, Azure DevOps/VSTSFamiliarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.Experience with advertising campaign management/buying platforms such as Sizmek, GCM, Flashtalking, Moat, DV, IAS, Mediaocean, Media Tools, Nielsen, ComScore, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, 4C, Brand Networks, YouTube, Google Ads, Bing, Kenshoo, SA360, DV360, Google Analytics, Adobe AnalyticsQualifications:

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Statistics, Economics, Business, Math, Computer Science, or Sciences is preferred.Experience with the full development life cycle of an application or reporting solution - from design through test and deployment.Minimum 4-5 years' experience in data governance processes in a data warehousing, ETL and business intelligence environment3 years' experience in media; digital Investment, analytics, or ad operations is preferred.Experience and understanding of processes across multiple media channels (digital, search, social, offline, etc.); Experience in handling diverse datasets (paid media, owned, etc.)Demonstrates strong eye/attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written skillsExceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and detail orientedAbility to foster collaborative relationships with other cross-functional teams.Ability to manage and prioritize competing projects and deliverables.Comfortable working with budgets and numbers

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $75,000 to $180,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
