POSITION SUMMARY

Enhances the quality of life for our members/team members by meeting or exceeding their service expectations. This position works in conjunction with the IT Manager to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer network and to provide security oversight to the computing environment. This includes strategic implementations of the organizations enterprise network, designing system configuration; directing system installation; developing and defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards; supporting and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. Responsible for performing disaster recovery operations, protecting data, software, and hardware from attacks. Responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available IT infrastructure that meets the business objectives and service level agreements. Provide guidance and support to the IT team when needed and provides end user training where required. Provides input to fiscal planning and budgeting based on the tactical and strategic plan for network services.

Essential Functions & Additional Responsibilities

Perform design and administration of IT infrastructure - Ensure network and computer systems issues are proactively resolved in an efficient manner. Troubleshoots and resolves complex network problems. Evaluate and design network infrastructure. Administer all network equipment, servers, and security solutions. Proactively conducts research on products, services, protocols, and standards. Monitors network infrastructure and systems health performance including servers, cloud services, security systems, backup servers and their associated operating systems and software. Validates system alerts, document system changes. Maintain support documentation procedures, checklists, and knowledgebase to mitigate recurring problems. Maintains and updates an inventory list of IT systems including hardware and software.

Develops System Improvements

- Assists in planning, installing, configuring, documenting and maintaining IT infrastructure. Develops security standards, selects security tools, conducts audits and implements remediation efforts to improve security posture of the organization. Interacts with vendors and contactors to support and maintain products, services, and equipment. Works with IT management to identify, implement and support new technologies for improving business processes.

Creates and maintain systems documentation

-Creates Network and Systems documentation such as network diagrams, data and process flow diagrams.

User assistance - Provides prompt resolution to through ticket queue, phone, and email support. Act as Subject Mater Expert for network team. Works closely with other technical teams and management to coordinate issue resolutions and provide technical assistance with special projects.

5% Provides backup support to other areas of the department as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience is required. Certified in one or more of the following is preferred: Microsoft Azure, MCSA, CCNA, CCIE, M365 Certifications.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of similar or related experience working in Network and System administration operating in Microsoft Windows server environments administering AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Exchange 365 and Azure environments. Experience working in virtualized environments. 3-5 years of experience maintaining and monitoring network security and supporting full or hybrid cloud environments with proven experience managing virtualized environments. Experience designing, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices such as firewalls, routers, switches, and storage solutions. Financial institution experiences preferred.
