Job Location:
This is an on site role which can be based in Peachtree City, GA or Farmington Hills, MI.
Compensation:
We are ideally seeking candidates in the $50.00/hr to $60.00/hr pay range. There is significant flexibility for well qualified candidates - but this will be considered on a case-by-case basis above $60.00/hr. We are limited to a maximum of $80.00/hr in this role (regardless of qualifications).

We are seeking an Android Developer to work on site at an Automotive Company known for enhancing in-vehicle experience and offering advanced technologies across multiple areas including cutting-edge cockpit and safety systems to high-performance audio and sensing technologies, all aimed at improving the driving experience.
Position Overview:
This position focuses on advancing in-vehicle experiences through Android-based systems and requires expertise in C++, Java, Android Automotive, and the Android Framework. The developer will contribute to the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of custom HALs (Hardware Abstraction Layers), as well as Android OS migration and security. Experience with Android NDK, JNI, and automotive domain technologies is essential for driving innovation in this dynamic role.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development of Android Automotive systems, focusing on custom HAL implementations for vehicle components such as Radio, Audio, GNSS, etc.Contribute to system design using SOLID principles and Design Patterns.Oversee Android OS migration, security enhancements (SELinux, FBE, FDE), and CTS/VTS implementation.Perform code analysis, debugging, and root cause analysis to resolve complex technical issues.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, using tools like RTM, Jira, and ALM.Required:
8+ years of experience in Android development, particularly in Android Automotive and HAL.10+ years of experience with C++ (STL, Templates, Threading) and Java.Strong knowledge of the Android Framework, Car Service, AIDL, and HIDL.Experience with NDK, JNI, and Android OS security protocols.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skillsWork Environment:
This is a 1st (day) shift role.There may be occasional overtime in this role. Any OT will be paid at 1.5x.Please note, this is an on site role which can be based in either Peachtree City, GA or Farmington Hills, MI.Offer will be contingent upon a drug screen (which includes cannabis) and a background check.EOE (including Disability/Veterans)
