Job description:
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and specifications. Perform manual and automated testing of software applications to identify bugs, defects, and performance issues. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and design effective test scenarios. Report and track defects using bug tracking tools, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality and testing efficiency. Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of test automation frameworks and tools. Conduct regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing as needed. Maintain detailed documentation of test results, defects, and test coverage. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proven experience as a QA Engineer or similar role in software quality assurance. Proficiency in test automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Python). Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail). Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred Skills:
Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner). Experience with API testing and tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured). Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
