Quality Control Supervisor

with our client based in West Nyack, NY. You'll be responsible for product inspection and in process testing.

Managing and maintaining the retain room for samples and batch records storage and retrieval. Following up on sample/record requests verbally, manually or via emailEnsuring adequate QC inspector coverage for Mon-Sat. Working overtime and adjusting to production demands and schedule as neededEnsuring all inspections, paperwork and sample collections are performed completely, accurately and timelyCoaching, counselling and correcting the QC inspectors as necessary. Providing training, instructions and corrective actionReporting problems, issuing non-conforming reports and recommendations where neededGuiding and enforcing all cGMPs for all shift personnel: gowning, eating/drinking, cafe, locker rooms, production, documentation, lot coding, housekeeping and C&SAssisting with investigations from respective shiftAttending meetings/conference calls with or on behalf of, the QC Inspection managerProviding daily shift summary report via email to site managementGenerating and analyzing metrics obtained from the QC Inspection department for inclusion in QA reportsAssisting with site wide GMP training as it pertains to QC InspectionTimely escalation of QC Inspection issues to QC/QA managementHas the authority to make and execute decisions related to the production linesJob Requirements

Details:

Bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field)5 to 8 years of experience in Quality Control (QC) or Quality Assurance (QA) supervisionProven supervisory/management experienceSupplier quality experience preferredProficient in Quality Systems, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in FDA-regulated industriesStrong problem-solving abilities: Identifies and resolves issues promptly, gathers and analyzes information effectively, and develops alternative solutionsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external clientsStrong leadership and process improvement skillsAdept at deviation management and investigationTeam-oriented and self-motivated
