Electrical Engineer- Fuzing Systems

Description Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems in our Test Instrumentation & Lethal Mechanisms Portfolio which develops Fuzing Systems (Ignition Safety Devices for igniting rocket motors, Electronic Safe & Arm Devices for initiating warheads), Proximity Sensors, as well as telemetry systems for rocket, missile and unmanned aerial system applications.This highly impactful mission creates hardware that defends our War Fighters in numerous ways! These products are in current production in support of several weapons systems customers with increased production over the next several years.Primary ResponsibilitiesThis unique role will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of complex electronic hardware for defense applications. Additionally, this role includes support of our manufacturing team, throughout the lifecycle of each product. Projects will involve diverse technology areas, including analog and digital electronic design, payload integration, and system integration.Basic QualificationsBSEE degree plus 8 years of prior relevant experience including:Concept development and circuit design for a variety of productsExperience using Mentor Graphics E-CAD schematic capture softwareDebugging electronic hardware with standard laboratory equipmentMust be a US citizen and a resident of Huntsville, Alabama,?or?be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.Must be a US Citizen, possess (and be able to maintain) a final secret clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with Altium schematic capture and PCB layout E-CADC programming abilities for embedded micro-processorsGUI development for test interfaces using Python, LabView, etc.Excellent communication skillsProduct manufacturing supportOriginal Posting Date:2024-10-17While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
