Position Summary:
The Accounting Associate at Mercury Broadband will support the accounting department and perform a variety of accounting tasks. These tasks include processing invoices, gathering proper authorization, completing related documentation and reporting functions, identifying fixed assets, preparing reconciliations, as well as assisting with other accounting projects. Key Responsibilities:Provide support to the accounting department.Perform the accounts payable processing for all entitiesPerform the fixed asset processing for all entities, ensure accurate reporting of depreciation and reconcile AT2 the fixed asset sub ledger to the ledger.Perform reconciliations to the ledger for assigned accounts.Complete assigned accounting projects. Perform basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, and reporting.Process transactions and update ledgers.Verify accuracy of documentation and balances.Upload invoices into software and enter relevant information.Coordinate with departmental leaders to ensure proper authorization is obtained and relevant invoices are paid timely.Answer inquiries about payments and invoices from vendors and customers.
Skills and Requirements:Excellent analytical, computational and mathematical abilitiesProficiency in bookkeeping programs and related softwareExceptional attention to detail and accuracyHigh level of integrity and trustworthinessExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education Requirements:High school degree or equivalentAssociates Degree or 2+ years relevant industry experienceFamiliarity with programs such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and other account management software
