The SWRMC Surgical Services consists of 6 licensed OR's. Offering a variety of specialties to include General Surgery; Urology; Vascular; Orthopedics; Podiatry; Gyn; with 4K laparoscopic integrated OR's as well as the daVinci system for Robotic approaches.

The OR/CSS Manager has primary responsibility for leading, controlling, planning, organizing, and evaluating the timely, effective, and efficient delivery of the department's operations on a 24-hour basis. This role is responsible for ensuring that the department performs to the highest possible standards within the resources made available, thus ensuring the continuance of high-quality care throughout Surgical Services.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

BSN REQUIRED - MSN preferred

3 Years or MORE of OR experience

3 Years or MORE of personnel, staffing, and budget management along with day to day department operations

Previous RN Manager for Surgical Services

STRONGLY preferred

Reporting directly to the Director of Surgical Services, and in close partnership with the Chief of Surgery, the Manager will oversee the coordination and daily operations of surgical Services located on the SWRMC campus while being supported by a Team Coordinator, Supervisors, RN's, Surgical Assistants, Surgical Technologists, OR Scheduler and OR Attendants totaling 40 FT employees covering 24 hrs of care per day.

Central Sterile Services partners very closely with the OR and has approximately 10 employees. Their hours cover from 0630-2300 during the week and 'on call' expectations for the weekend.

The Manager will act as a role model, has accountability for the departmental budget and Position Control, ensures the consistent application of the hospital's policies and procedures and fosters teamwork within and between areas of responsibility. This role is also responsible for promoting specialized knowledge and skills through the support of staff education and professional development.

In addition to management of the OR/CSS the Manager will work closely with the Manager for Pre/Post/Endoscopy/PACU and PASS.
