PurposeContributes to the overall success of the SMT ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.AccountabilitiesChampions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge .Partner with key stakeholders and approved bank vendor to provide technology specific expertise for effort and financial estimation, Statement of Work management and release planning.Act as a strategic technology liaison to our business partners and vendors, building an understanding of their business needs and maintaining ongoing strong relationships.Managing ongoing intake/demand for enhancements and service requests. Prioritizing requests based on urgency, value/benefits, and lab capacity.Identify and evaluate intake and convert it into project as needed; follow project management principle and EDF lifecycle.Monitor status of projects to ensure condition is accurately depicted and that major risks and issues are receiving the appropriate level of attention.Complete the monthly Project Status Reports and present to senior leadership including Business Sponsor, Project Leadership Team (PLT) and Steering Committee (as required).The position requires solid understanding of technologies (ServiceNow), project management and life cycle development methodologies, as well as technical insights pertaining to the area.Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.If applicable: Guide project managers from Project Delivery and Support (PD&S) team in the successful delivery of projects.
