The Role:

The Conformal Coating Operator runs the equipment used to manufacture printed circuit boards. Weighs, measures and checks raw materials to ensure that batches manufactured contain proper ingredients in proper quantities. Maintains inventory records of raw materials used in batch manufacturing. Keeps accurate and up-to-date batch records and data sheets on batches in process. Performs in-process tests (such as hardness, weight, variation, pH and moisture content) to ensure that batches meet specifications. Recognizes equipment and product problems, notifies supervisor and/or troubleshoots errors in order to achieve optimum production levels.

Requirements

Set up, program, and operate conformal coating machines to apply coatings to printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies. Including Curing Oven and Magazine loaders.Load and unload PCBs or components into the machine, ensuring correct placement and alignment.Monitor machine performance during coating processes and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and consistency.Inspect coated assemblies for uniformity, coverage, and defects, ensuring compliance with IPC standards. Touch up boards as needed.Document quality issues and record/scan all board SNs into SAP.Perform machine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting as needed to ensure optimal operation. Maintenance to include changing fluids and cleaning machines to ensure efficient operation.Mask and de-mask components before and after machine operation to protect areas not requiring coating. Masking may include die cut masks, tapes and UV cure gels.Record process data and complete documentation for production tracking.Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to address any process or quality issues.Ensure proper handling of coating materials, including mixing and storage.Adhere to safety protocols, cleanroom procedures, and ESD (electrostatic discharge) guidelines at all times. Follow EHS guidelines: Safety glasses, proper lifting, and approved footwear.Transport racks of circuit boards from one destination to another to continue the manufacturing process.Additional tasks may be assigned by the supervisor to accommodate fluctuating production requirements.Qualifications:
