Eaton’s Aerospace business is seeking a Manager, Product Management for our Military, Aerospace and Defense markets in North America. This position can be based in Camarillo or City of Industry CA.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Product Management, this person will partner and collaborate across a highly matrixed and global organization to drive profitable sales growth for the Interconnect Technology (ITD) products portfolio. The Manager will also lead a team of senior Product Managers focused on ITD products, targeting the Military, Aerospace, and Defense markets in North America.
The Manager, Product Management will lead a team of Product Managers and define and execute the North America product line strategy aligning with the global strategy. This person will lead and deliver across all aspects of the product life cycle, including product development, product mix, sales promotion, pricing policy, and training.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Support the sales team across three regions in executing the product strategy to achieve profitable sales growth and targeted value creation
• Collaborate with other Product Managers, the Product Support Manager, and the Director of Product Management to design and implement processes and tools aligned with interfacing departments (R&D, Sales, Pricing) for efficient operations.
• Plan and manage new product introductions based on customer or perceived market demand, ensuring optimal positioning in terms of price, features, channel, and time to market, in strong partnership with engineering and project management.
• Define the pricing policy and positioning of product lines.
• Support the sales team in daily operations, including product training, technical support for RFQs, and NPRDS pipeline management.
• Stay current with emerging technology and competition trends, and understand competitive positioning, including price positioning.
• Partner with local engineering and project management leaders and sales directors in different regions to develop a long-term product roadmap.
• Contribute to the division's strategic and profit planning from a product portfolio perspective.
• Provide intake/demand information and guidance to support SIOP and accurate demand forecasting.
• Represent the product management function across leadership teams.
Position Criteria:
• Experience managing multi-site / multicultural teams
• Proven experience in managing product portfolios targeting Military, Aerospace, and Defense markets.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in leading and developing teams.
• Excellent strategic planning and execution skills.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across different departments.
• In-depth knowledge of product life cycle management.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to stay current with emerging technologies and market trends.
• Experience defining the pricing policy and positioning of product lines.
• Good combination of strategic vision, strong operations and bottom-line capabilities, along with an effective interpersonal style and “hands-on” approach
• Experience and success with operating in a large and matrix organization
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management within the industrial manufacturing sector.
• 10+ years of experience dealing with aerospace / defense products within product marketing, business development, engineering.
Education
:
• An undergraduate degree from an accredited institution is required
• An advanced degree is preferred

The expected annual salary range for this role is $156975.03 - $230230.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
