You will also design and procure necessary tools, prepare detailed work instructions, and utilize CAD/CAM software to optimize run and programming times. Requirements: High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 3 years' experience working with programming CNC Punch Press for Sheet Metal FabricationExperience programming CNC Lasers preferred but not requiredEngineering experience/background with strong mechanical aptitude helpfulWorking knowledge of SolidWorks - must have used this for sheet metal fabrication; CAMWorks; and a computerized nesting software preferably SigmaNESTKnowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, and their applicationsKnowledge of raw materials used in sheet metal manufacturing, production processes, bend deductions, turret punch press tooling, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goodsKnowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production & interpretation of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models, specifically for sheet metal manufacturingGreat attention to detailAbility to understand G Codes including ability to write, edit and troubleshoot production and technical issuesAbility to organize tasks in order of importance and use time most effectively to complete all work in timely mannerAbility to work in a fast paced & customer service-oriented environment For instant consideration for this CNC Programmer job in Newport News, VA, click on Apply Now!
