Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
Cloud Engineer Sr. and SME
to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for working with automating build pipelines, migrations, security and compliance in the cloud, TCP/IP networking in the cloud and on premise, automation using Azure, and ability to script or program.
What You'll Be Doing:
Collaborate with business technology peers and management as well as other engineering teams to design and implement private cloud infrastructure.
Ensure full integration with hybrid cloud platform management layer, identity management, and R&D infrastructure. In supporting the organization in maturing the infrastructure into a fully automated, service-oriented, hybrid IT, they analyze the cloud infrastructure needs of the Company’s product units and transversal functions and participate in selection and deployment of Openstack distribution (SLA, performance, support, cost).
Perform tool administrative tasks and provide application support for the platform, review infrastructure security holes, apply patches, create console roles and reviews, create and install security packs as needed, and establish a foundation for future implementations and automation.
Implement an enterprise monitoring environment using industry standard technologies: (Alert Site / Pager Duty / Microsoft Operations Management Suite (OMS), Senior Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Azure monitoring products, etc.).
Contribute as needed, leveraging their expertise to support any ad-hoc requirements that may arise.
Collaborates with a team for EA project integration, delivery, and development. They enhance the strategic and operational capabilities of the organization, contributing to mid- and long-term Enterprise and strategic C4 planning.
Instrumental in developing and managing data handling and processing solutions, including Big Data initiatives, across the SIE.
Supports DevSecOps for new developments related to SIE Cloud efforts and work closely with the Government to identify and analyze gaps in current systems and processes, presenting their findings and assisting in the formulation of strategic solutions to address these gaps.
Provide a comprehensive implementation plan and ensure that each project is closed out in accordance with the PMBOK standards for each Government project.
Assist in planning, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions to ensure scalability and efficiency. Furthermore, the Cloud Engineer resolves data-related issues, optimizing data processing workflows across the enterprise.
Responsible for delivering comprehensive database development support services aimed at creating and maintaining a centrally managed data warehouse.
Develop, migrate, test, document, and integrate both current and legacy GOTS and COTS databases, software, applications, and content. They implement predictive and preventative development enhancements to ensure the robustness and efficiency of the data warehouse.
Provide training material input to training staff. They assist in performing training when technical expertise is required.
As a
Senior
, you will provide technical/management leadership to Journeyman and Junior staff within their area of expertise.
As a
SME
, they provide technical/management leadership to Senior, Journeyman and Junior staff within their area of expertise. As a subject matter expert, you will participate in the Enterprise Ecosystem Teams.
Both levels will establish goals, plans, processes, and procedures for their team to follow that meet assigned objectives.

Salary Range:
$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
