Your Role on Our Team:

As a part of the Product Safety team, the Technical Publications department creates the operator's manuals, on-product labels, and service literature needed to obtain certifications and ensure the end-user fully understands how to use Milwaukee products safely and effectively.

You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:Write and layout concise, highly structured instructions of medium to high complexity, directed toward a specific audienceMaintain electronic files for domestic and international product literature, including, but not limited to, manuals, on-product labels, service parts lists, service wiring diagrams, repair manuals, service instructions, and calibration manualsResearch and organize technical data, working closely with Engineering, Service, Regulatory, Safety, Liability, and international and domestic Marketing DepartmentsDocument changes to existing literature or the release of new literatureMaintain Technical Publications databases used by internal and external customersThe TOOLS you'll bring with you:

Can evaluate priorities and adjust to changing deadlinesDrives communication with teams and excels as an individual contributor in a global environmentAbility to exceed schedules and recognize/react quickly to priority changesGood understanding of how you impact projects and company goalsRequires a Bachelor's degree or technical equivalent, and 3-5 years experience: Areas of study include Journalism, Science Writing, English, Technical Communication, Graphic ArtsTechnical background/Strong mechanical aptitudeGeneral knowledge of proper power tool use and safetySoftware skills in Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator requiredOther TOOLS we prefer you to have:

Experience in CAD programsUnderstanding of programs such as Corel Draw, ProEngineer, TeamCenter, NX (UG), and ERP systemsWorking Conditions:
