Our ideal candidates embrace diverse thinking, enjoy partnering with others and are seeking to make a difference!We are currently searching for a new, full-time member for our team for the position of: Senior Electrical Engineer The Senior Electrical Engineer will utilize their expertise in DoD, AF, and engineering/scientific principles to enhance the performance and sustainability of existing and future AF and joint service weapon systems. They will be responsible for applying MIL-HDBK-516C Airworthiness Certification Criteria, supporting the System Integrity Programs, translating user requirements into systems requirements, and assisting in various engineering and safety programs.Key Job ResponsibilitiesApply DoD, AF, and engineering principles to improve weapon system performance-sustainability. Support airworthiness certification and System Integrity Programs.Translate user requirements into weapons system requirements.Assist in developing action plans and policies for weapon system capabilities.Perform technical and mission analyses for operational requirements and system concepts.Provide rapid response engineering services and support for critical supportability problems.Conduct system safety engineering program activities and evaluations.Assist in material solution analyses and documentation production.Support product reviews, technical evaluations, and acquisition strategies.Assist in equipment and software deficiency analysis and testing.Evaluate subcontractor recommendations for operational and support issues.Participate in program milestone approvals and source selections.Support disciplined engineering activities to ensure OSS&E for all products.Aid in the development and evaluation of engineering cost estimates.Facilitate value stream mapping activities and AFSO21 program initiatives.Provide support for configuration, data, and risk management processes.Apply knowledge of electrical engineering to power systems and avionics subsystems.Support CNS/ATM requirements, testing, and certification activities.Assist in avionics integration engineering and relevant documentation updates.Disclaimer "The responsibilities and duties outlined in this job description are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this role. ( ).Education- Advanced Degree (MA/MS) with 12 years of experience, including 5 years in the DoD, OR BA/BS degree with 15 years of experience, including 5 years in the DoD, OR 20 years of directly related experience with appropriate certifications.Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearance.U.S. Citizenship required.Consent to personal, employment, clearance, and education verification.Preferred QualificationsComprehensive understanding and application of associated standards, procedures, and practices.Ability to lead and mentor junior personnel within the discipline.Experience in program office, enterprise, staff-level support, C-130 modifications, troubleshooting, field support, and depot support is preferred.
