Job DescriptionOur client, a long-standing established and growing practice in Westchester County NY, is hiring a dedicated Surgical PA. This person will work in a collaborative partnership with a triple board certified and nationally/internationally recognized Craniofacial and Cranial Base Tumor Surgeon practicing in New York City and White Plains. Responsibilities: Perform and document history of pre-operative patients. Prepares documentation for admissions. Assists with Pre- and Post-operative follow ups. Administers medications. Follow up and renew medications for patients as needed. Orders labs, x-rays, tests, physical therapy renewals, CT/MRI and other diagnostic tests. Check on status of patients post-op. Counsel patients. Supporting all patient calls/notes. Perform Injections/fillers. First assists in all surgeries with attending physicians. Handles all emergency room consultations and admissions. Provides quality in-patient care including rounds, progress notes, dressing changes, and follows lab results. Follow up on all post-op orders. Coordinates patient discharge documentation. Requirements: Active NYS license as a PA2+ years of experience as a PAin a fast-paced clinical environment, surgical background is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will be organized and motivated to work with complex clinical cases. No new grads Schedule: A typical week is M-F in the White Plains office, could vary depending on O.R. time opportunities with surgeon. No weekends, no nights, no call. Often seeing patients via telehealth but clinician must be on site. One day in the NYC office, every other week. Day of week will vary. Salary: $140-$150K (Salary could fall outside the range depending on candidates' experience.)
