Job Title: Pipe WelderJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder with experience in multi-pass, all positions fillet and butt welds using the SMAW process. The ideal candidate will have the ability to fuse inserts and weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper nickel pipe using both SMAW and GTAW processes. Proficiency in mirror welding and familiarity with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry is essential. Candidates must also be able to properly use fillet gauges, butt gauges, and a six-inch scale, and pass computer-based training.ResponsibilitiesRead blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material with powered saws to match measurements).Perform multi-pass, all positions fillet and butt welds using the SMAW process.Fuse inserts and weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper nickel pipe using both SMAW and GTAW processes.Mirror weld using SMAW and GTAW processes.Use heating equipment such as Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch.Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations relative to the shipbuilding industry.Essential Skills2-5 years of TIG and STICK pipe welding experience.Experience with pipe/metals using various techniques including electric, gas, arc, or other equipment.Ability to pass SMAW 6-inch weld test.Proficiency in SMAW and TIG welding.Knowledge of carbon and stainless steel welding.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with OSHA regulations.Ability to properly use fillet gauges, butt gauges, and a six-inch scale.Ability to pass computer-based training.Why Work Here?This is a great opportunity for long-term growth with a company that values its employees.
