As the Director, Human Resources Strategy and Talent Programs, you will implement and influence the execution of Human Resources (HR) strategies and best practices to facilitate the attraction, development, and retention of an engaged and effective workforce in the California district.
This role will sit on-site with the leadership team. Frequent regional travel will be required to influence and build relationships throughout the district.
Pay Details:
The expected rate of pay for this position is $130,000-$150,000 annually. This position is also bonus eligible with a target of 35%, based on specific and relevant business metrics. Additionally, the role is eligible for our profit-sharing plan and stock purchase plan.
In this role you will:
Partner closely with the District Vice President and leaders to influence and implement people strategies that support business growth.Identify, research, and solve HR issues; provide analysis and recommendations to inform strategic thinking and direction within the leadership team; establish HR objectives that support the team's overall goals.Identify, create, and implement plans to promote diversity and inclusion.Implement company-wide HR strategies and programs through effective change management, training, and communication.Work with field and corporate HR teams to achieve effective and inclusive recruitment, onboarding, employment, compensation, benefits, talent management, and employee development practices.Provide leadership and expertise in understanding all aspects of HR management; work with leaders to promote the effective application of the Company's HR strategies.Ensure assigned locations are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.Forecast, develop, and implement an effective workforce plan.What you bring to the table:
Minimum 5 years of experience: human resource management or related area, preferably in a large organization.Four-year degree or equivalent experience preferred.Knowledge and understanding of workforce development programs and strategies.Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment, wage and salary laws and regulations.Understanding of HR policies and procedures including compensation and benefits, health and welfare, leave management, corrective action, and other programs.Familiar with continuous improvement techniques and practices.Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.Experienced effectively budgeting.Negotiation skills.Microsoft Office Suite, related applications, Workday or other HRIS computer skills.Frequent regional travel is required.Graybar considers qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with applicable laws, including the Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
