Plant Manager-CincinnatiPLANT MANAGER-CincinnatiThe Plant Manager has P&L responsibility for the manufacture of bread, roll and bagel dough and distribution of such products, produce, and dry goods that are delivered daily to our bakery cafes. The Plant Manager functions as a hands-on leader to mentor, train, develop, and coach their leadership team and local associates through creating a collaborative, empowered, and engaged workforce that supports our Panera Way. This position builds great relationships with the bakery-cafes their FDF serves through a dedicated focus on customer service and problem solving. The Plant Manager ensures associate safety, food safety, and process controls are being followed while meeting quality standards. They also ensure that their distribution department meets all necessary DOT and CSA requirements while making timely and accurate bakery-cafe deliveries. This position will be responsible for meeting & exceeding budgetary goals and expectations with the ability to be proactive in correcting issues and preventing problems.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe primary responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:Demonstrate broad leadership responsibilities: This role oversees the plant operations, customer service, distribution, sanitation, production, product quality, regulatory compliance, product efficiency, associate safety, and food safety while managing performance and results plant-wide.Set the standard: This role has overall responsibility for manufacturing and distribution safety, culture, quality and service, environmental compliance, and P&L responsibility.Drive our culture: Panera's cultural values are what makes our company different from the others. The Plant Manager will utilize strong decision-making skills and flexibility in order to drive operational initiatives and continuous process improvement activities.Qualifications (Education & Experience)Qualifications include:5+ years of successful, hands on, management experience within a manufacturing facility. Food manufacturing experience preferred. Distribution experience preferredDemonstrated ability to supervise, train and develop both hourly production and salaried associatesKnowledge of food sanitation and maintenance processes, procedures and standards such as HACCP, FSMA, etc. Knowledge of DOT requirements preferredCompetent in computer knowledge - accustomed to working in an MS Office environment and competent in ExcelBilingual - English/Spanish is preferredWillingness and ability to work weekends, holidays, and/or off shift hoursStrong organization and time management skillsWorking ConditionsRequired travel - Minimal travel required for role.Physical RequirementsThe work environment requires tolerance to variations in temperature, wet conditions in washing area, exposure to food products and certain allergens, and manufacturing equipment that includes a variety of controls and mechanisms.Direct ReportsThis position will have approximately 75 direct reports.Cincinnati FDF
