Job Summary:The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inventory operations across Kitting, Receiving, and Warehouse departments during their shift. The role ensures that materials flow seamlessly throughout the facility, supporting production by maintaining accurate stock levels, processing inventory transactions, and resolving discrepancies. This position is pivotal in ensuring efficient coordination between departments, accurate record-keeping, and compliance with safety standards. The supervisor leads a team, implements process improvements, and works cross-functionally to prevent production delays due to inventory issues. During the initial training period, this role follows a Monday-Friday schedule from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. After training, the official schedule will shift to a Thursday-Sunday continental schedule, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.Roles and Responsibilities:Leadership & Team Management:Supervision Across Functions: Manage and oversee the Kitting, Receiving, and Warehouse teams during the shift, ensuring smooth coordination and high performance.Shift Management: Handle daily shift operations, including task allocation, position placement, and attendance tracking across all three departments.Team Development: Mentor and train team members, offering continuous support to help them develop their skills and meet performance expectations.Performance Monitoring: Evaluate the performance of staff regularly, offering constructive feedback and managing performance issues when necessary.Resource Allocation: Adjust team placement and resources to meet operational demands, including coverage for urgent tasks or staff absences.Inventory Management & Accuracy:Inventory Transactions: Oversee all critical inventory transactions across departments, ensuring timely processing of material transfers, RTS (Return to Stock), and inventory adjustments.Cycle Counting & Stock Accuracy: Lead cycle count programs to maintain accurate stock levels, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure proper location management within the warehouse.Discrepancy Investigation & Resolution: Take charge of investigating inventory discrepancies, working with relevant teams to identify the root causes and implement corrective actions.Material Flow: Coordinate with the kitting team to ensure timely delivery of materials to the production line based on production schedules, minimizing downtime.Process Improvement & Optimization:Process Standardization: Ensure that established processes are consistently followed across Receiving, Kitting, and Warehouse functions, and identify areas for improvement.Inventory Turnover Optimization: Continuously monitor stock levels to maintain optimal inventory, avoiding overstock or stock shortages. Collaborate with production and purchasing teams for better forecasting and replenishment planning.Error Prevention: Identify recurring issues that cause inventory discrepancies or processing delays and work to eliminate these inefficiencies.Collaboration & Communication:Cross-Departmental Coordination: Facilitate communication between Inventory Control, Production, Quality, and Engineering to ensure material availability and resolve any operational challenges quickly.Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on inventory metrics, including cycle counts, discrepancies, and inventory accuracy rates, to senior management.Problem-Solving: Lead problem-solving efforts when issues arise that could affect production or inventory integrity, collaborating with other departments as needed.Compliance & Safety:Safety & Compliance: Enforce all safety policies and protocols during shift operations, ensuring all staff adhere to material handling procedures, equipment safety standards, and use of PPE.Audit Readiness: Maintain accurate records and ensure that all departments are prepared for internal and external audits, meeting company policies and regulatory requirements.Health & Safety Standards: Continuously promote a safe working environment by educating team members on safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.Job Qualifications:Education & Experience:Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or related functions, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role overseeing multiple functions such as Receiving, Kitting, and Warehouse.Technical Skills:ERP/WMS Proficiency: Strong proficiency in inventory management systems, such as ERP or WMS platforms, with the ability to quickly and accurately input data and analyze reports.Inventory Accuracy & Discrepancy Management: Expertise in managing cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, and resolving stock issues to maintain inventory accuracy.Data Reporting: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools to generate and interpret inventory reports, track KPIs, and present findings tomanagement.Leadership & Soft Skills:Leadership & Team Building: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, especially in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
