THE ROLE

As an Associate Editor, you'll be at the forefront of keeping Motorcycle.com fresh, exciting, and up-to-date. Your main focus will be crafting and updating buying guides, curating the best deals, and making sure our content reaches riders around the world through newsletters and digital platforms. You'll also work closely with the powersports industry-building relationships with clients, companies, and industry experts.

You'll immerse yourself in the motorcycle lifestyle, staying in touch with the latest trends, gear, and rides. You'll be part of a creative, collaborative team that thrives on innovation and connection with the motorcycle community. You'll help influence the decisions of riders everywhere, from first-timers to seasoned pros.

This position is available only to Los Angeles area residents who will work out of their home office, can travel to/from nearby airports, and meet with other staff for testing in the Greater LA area.

A clean driving record and motorcycle endorsement (Class M1 license) are required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

•Ride a motorcycle at a professional level within close proximity to others in a safe manner.

•Ride any style of motorcycle (Street, track, off-road, etc.).

•Be comfortable on camera and help build out an ongoing video strategy involving all facets of Motorcycle.com from motorcycle and gear reviews, to social shorts such as Youtube, Instagram, TikTok, and more.

•Create engaging multimedia content for Motorcycle.com readers including but not limited to motorcycle reviews, gear reviews, news coverage, opinion pieces, how-to articles, polls, trade show coverage, and more.

•Create engaging, SEO-friendly headlines plus copywriting under tight deadlines.

•Produce official reviews of motorcycles and products published on Motorcycle.com.

•Assist in evolving a content strategy that includes a shift to video-centric reviews.

•Ensure Motorcycle.com keeps its finger on the pulse of new products that are likely to be popular.

•Learn about the latest Motorcycle technologies and communicate technical concepts to casual readers.

•Find and implement best practices when it comes to content creation.

•Concentrate on topics that get the most traffic now, but also follow trends that could contribute to future traffic growth.

•Assist with social media strategy by monitoring what topics and content garner traffic and traction on Facebook, YouTube, X, Instagram, TikTok, etc.

ABOUT YOU

•Have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license.

•Ability to transport motorcycles across states.

•Must possess a flexible schedule to allow for long days shooting, traveling, or transporting motorcycles.

•Meet and coordinate motorcycle testing within the Greater Los Angeles area up to 50% of the time.

•Have a valid passport and be both willing and able to travel internationally up to 50% of the time, especially during peak season between September and June.

•Perform other related duties as negotiated and ad hoc projects to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
