Responsibilities

Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland is looking to add a Pediatric Physician Assistant (PA) to our wonderful group in the Pediatric Emergency Department.

Our group has had minimal turnover in 7+ years and we are looking for the right person to care for children that present to our separate dedicated 12 bed Peds Emergency Department. We have a dedicated inpatient pediatric unit, NICU, and postpartum unit here at Saint Agnes. Teaching students will be a fun part of the job. Shifts are typically 10-12 hours. Orientation will be included. Our pediatric group prides itself on equity, fairness, professionalism, compassion, and friendship. We offer a very competitive salary and benefits package. Responsibilities:

Provide direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision

of a physician.

* Obtain patient history and perform assessment.* Order, perform and interpret diagnostic procedures.* Provide and document direct treatment and management of health conditions.* Provide counseling and education of patient and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.* Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Required Credential(s):

* BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office* Physician Assistant credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office

Preferred Credential(s):

* Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).Verified by local Credentialing Office

Education:

* Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program.* Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience:

* 1 year of experience preferred.
