DC Materials Handler - OComm

Perform picking, processing, and shipping functions to ensure parts are ordered in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure customer service standards and shipping guidelines are upheld while filling customer orders.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Navigate the computer system to view orders placed through the company website.
Pull orders when necessary, both quickly and accurately, from the location listed on the tickets.
Prepare boxes, generate and assess labels, packing list, and customer requirements so that the product is shipped within the time allotted.
Carefully count and pack the parts error free.
Maintain a good rapport with other departments in the warehouse so replenishments, staging, or assistance of any kind is available.
Maintain constant communication with the Operations Manager and City Counter.
Keep all logs neat and legible.
Inspect boxes that are torn to ensure the part is in good condition. Re-box or re-label as necessary so we can safely ship out the part and ensure it will not be damaged during transport.
Follow shipping and packing guidelines per UPS regulations and requirements.
Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations.
Maintain a clean work area for efficiency as well as any powered equipment that may be utilized to complete job functions.
All other duties assigned by DC Management Team.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIESRequired:
Ability to write numbers and letters clearly and legibly
Strong knowledge of PC Skills
Ability to accurately read and match numbers, words, and numbers from various sources including print labels
Proven excellent customer service skills
Must be able to work closely and well with others in a team environmentDesired:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
Experience with picking and packaging product
Prior warehouse and powered equipment experience
Advanced computer skills
Shipping experience using USPS/UPS preferred
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
