MAU is hiring a Plant Manager for our client in Douglasville, GA. As a Plant Manager,you will oversee operations at a custom HVAC equipment manufacturing facility. This role includes managing an existing production manager and department supervisors who report to you. Key responsibilities involve ensuring the overall safety, quality, and productivity of the manufacturing plant. This is a direct-hire opportunity. Benefits Package 401k Life insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Paid vacation Shift Information Monday to Friday with overtime on Saturday Required Education and Experience 5 to 10 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the HVAC industry At least a 2-year technical college degree Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is preferred Proven experience in implementing lean manufacturing practices Essential Functions Review projects prior to production to assess required materials and human resources for successful execution Monitor the production schedule to ensure timely product delivery and productivity Act as the primary link between sales, engineering, and drafting teams, and the production manager and department supervisors to facilitate satisfactory order fulfillment Ensure thorough inspection of units by department supervision before they leave workstations to guarantee a defect-free product Review internal quality and field service reports with the production manager and supervisors to implement corrective measures Provide training opportunities to retain a skilled, qualified, and disciplined workforce that adheres to company policies Assess employee performance for evaluations, pay increases, and disciplinary actions in partnership with the production manager and department supervisors Determine optimal staffing levels based on workload and participate in the hiring process for plant personnel Maintain a safe working environment, emphasizing safety training for new hires and conducting thorough accident investigations to prevent unsafe practices, aiming to eliminate accidents Engage in problem-solving on the production floor as needed, addressing challenges related to the custom nature of the product Review performance metrics with department supervision and implement necessary improvements to enhance performance Ensure an organized workflow within the plant, maintaining clean, clutter-free workspaces with defined and accessible areas for tools, parts, and hardware Utilize strong interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts between employees and supervisors, promoting a harmonious workplace environment #PS
