CLM Midwest is a regional commercial facilities maintenance contractor with a local presence who partners with some of the nation's leading retail, convenience, and restaurant brands. We are a long-established, self-performing company that provides install, break/fix, and emergency services. This career opportunity is available as our sales and work orders are continuously growing in the greater Indianapolis city and suburbs.
We are looking for experienced service techs to join our field team who specialize in the following core commercial skillsets:
PlumbingSuccessful candidates are flexible, resourceful, have a growth mindset, and like to solve different problems every day. They have worked on reactive plumbing issues for businesses or multifamily properties previously. Training is provided through our two-week new hire orientation and various collaborations with "Trade Specialist" leaders who support our field team day to day. The service plumber is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting more basic and frequent issues including things like: sewer/drain backup, grease traps, leaks, water heater, clogged toilets/urinals/sinks, water fountains, etc. In this capacity, you will be responsible to respond to work orders that range from routine maintenance to emergency calls to assist customers with their commercial plumbing needs. This is a great opportunity for somebody looking to stay busy year-round and build their skills on frequent commercial issues. We do not ask our techs to do any selling or prospecting and we do not require licensing for this work.
Requirements
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Respond to work orders utilizing android app and properly document pertinent information through the life span of work orderResponsible for service, repair, and installation of commercial plumbing systemsPrepare job scope-of-work to include time estimates and material requirementsTroubleshoot to determine necessary repairs or replacementProvide a high level of customer service to all internal and external customers while maintaining timely and consistent communications with client and internal CLM support teamFollow state and local plumbing regulations and OSHA safety standardsActively participate in and complete all required training programsParticipate in on-call rotation that includes nights and weekendsCompletes other duties as assigned or requiredRequirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent2+ proven years of work experience as commercial plumber or equivalentSkilled and well-rounded in all aspects of plumbing and service maintenance plumbingMust have organizational skills and communication skills (written and verbal)Comfortable with traveling to multiple locations within a geographic area throughout shiftMust have flexible availability that includes evenings, weekends, holidays & on-call rotationAbility to pass a background check, 4-panel drug screen (THC waived), and MVR checkPhysical Requirements
Stand, walk, sit, kneel, and walk up/down stairs on regular basis; climb up and down ladders up to 35 feet high repeatedly on a shiftWork from various heights via platforms, scaffolds, ladders or man-liftsBend and stretch, lift and move heavy objects (50 - 65 lbs) many times across a shiftOperate, maintain, and work close proximity to various power equipment, including, but not limited to, forklifts, man-lifts, excavators, drills, saws, hydraulic tools and automatic machineryAbility to operate and navigate a 10,000-pound van for extended periods of time, during all weather conditions.
