Description
We are seeking a motivated Contracts & Trade Compliance Intern to join our team for the summer of 2025. This internship will provide you with valuable insights into contract management processes and trade compliance standards.
Essential Functions:
Support Contracts Team and assist in the review of contractual documentation to support contract close-out activities.Assist in review of historical contract data for development of preferred position library.Research regulatory guidance to integrate regulations into business processes to maximize outcomes.Research customs compliance export procedures, policies, and documentation necessary for compliant operation of the business.Review shipping documents for classifications, export/import restrictions, applicable authorizations, opportunity to reduce applicable import tariffs, etc.Update Trade Compliance Management System (EASE) with Export Commodity Classification Numbers (ECCNs).Develop and/or update Contracts and Trade Compliance Sharepoint Sites with meaningful resources to further subject-matter reach within company.Analyze, assess and provide mitigation tactics for business and contractual risk.Ensure compliance with government regulations, corporate policies and best practices.Position Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, International Business, Legal, Supply Chain Management or related field3.0+ GPAPreferred Additional Skills:
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills with the ability to work well in a Team environmentSelf-starter with strong organizational and computer skillsExperience creating and maintaining complex Microsoft Excel spreadsheetsFamiliarity with ERP systemsFamiliarity with U.S. Government agencies (i.e. Defense Security Cooperative Agency (DSCA), Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Department of State (DOS), Department of Commerce (DOC), etc.)Creative and strategic mindset
