Registered Nurse, Medical-SurgicalNeuro Surgical MS RN - Nights - Deaconess GatewayGuaranteed Hours: 36 (will accept 48 upon request)Shift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30-7, every weekendPatient Population: Neuro and Neuro-Surgical patients – CVAs, elective back/neck surgeries, post-op cranis, cerebral angiogram. General medical and psychSkillset: NIHSS/dysphagia screen/strong Neuro assessments, basic tele interpretation, strict I’s & O’s/straight cath/Foleys, initiate/titrate heparin gtts., blood/blood product administration/venipuncture/blood cultures, NG tubes, indwelling drain management, stable gtts. (i.e. Protonix, Lasix, etc.). Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills!Job Requirements

Minimum Experience REQUIRED: Two years of strong Med/Surg, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experienceCharting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)Schedule Information

Contract Length: 13 weeksStart: 11/18 or 12/2- Bi-weekly orientationShift Requirement: 12hr Nights 6:30-7, every weekendFloat Requirement: First to float within skillset. 2 HR notice given for cross campus float. Mid-shift float within same campus. Cross campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possibleWeekend/Holiday Requirement: Every weekend.
