Job Description

Summary

Provides effective and coordinated leadership for sterile processing and works closely to order instruments and equipment for the OR working closely with the OR CTM. Assists the Director in maintaining sterile processing standards of practice, efficient operations and personnel needs while assuring a high degree of customer service, evidence based practice and responsible stewardship of resources. This role will assist with identification of capital needs for equipment and instrumentation working closely with the director and purchasing. This role will primarily be responsible for supervision of sterile processing technicians in the department, ensuring competency validation for new equipment and well as annual ongoing competency.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing or the equivalent in a combination of an ADN and years of relevant experience

Current state of Missouri license as a Registered Nurse

Three years sterile processing experience

Two years nursing experience.

Demonstrated leadership ability.

Preferred Qualifications

Surgical technician or sterile processing technician

Certification in sterile processing

Demonstrated management experience
