Position Purpose
This position is responsible for creating an excellent experience for anyone using UCM facilities by overseeing all responsibilities for Audio-visual equipment as well as assisting Meeting and Conference Services staff with any tasks related to hosting events on campus.
Primary responsibilities include •Setup, operation, and takedown of Audio-Visual equipment on campus •Organization, maintenance, installation, and minor repair of equipment •Customer service, unlocking doors, assisting Campus Event Managers •Written shift reports In your Cover Letter please provide examples of the following: •Experience operating an audio console to mix 2 or more microphones •Experience assisting with the equipment in a typical classroom on campus •Any additional audio-visual related experience not otherwise mentioned in your application
Preference is given to students who are Music Technology, Digital Media Productions, or Theater Technology majors having completed the Sound Reinforcement course. Work Study preferred but not required WEEKENDS AND SUMMER REQUIRED
80% of shifts are scheduled with 2 weeks or more notice 20% of shifts are scheduled with 0-14 days notice.
