We are actively seeking a

Day

Program Manager

in the

Bloomingdale, NJ

area who will be responsible for the supervision and oversight of our Direct Support Professionals and Regional Programs for our Day Habilitation services. The

Program Manger

leads a team to provide person-centered care tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

Lead and train teams to support programmatic initiatives, goals, daily routines, and the unique needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesManage staff schedules and ensure shifts are adequately staffedProvide training on daily routines including feeding, medication administration, and maintaining personal hygieneManage team performance through effective communication, training, performance management, staff meetings, and employee recognitionDevelop and implement activity programs including the Meaningful Day curriculumCommunicate with the families and guardians of individuals we support as neededDevelop and update Individual Support Plans (ISP)/Person-Centered Plans (PCP) with an interdisciplinary team to include any concerns, observations, and behavioral developmentsEnsure individuals are supported per their ISP/PCP meal planning and behavior managementEnsure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timelyAssist with monitoring the finances of individuals ensuring purchases are approved and accounted for with documentationMonitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concernsManage relationships with the families and guardians of the individuals in our careEnsure work locations and vehicles are clean, well maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies including medications, and cleaning suppliesMay be required to fill shifts when staffing issues ariseAdditional tasks and responsibilities may be assignedEmployee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigationEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing.Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferredMinimum of 2 year's experience with DD/IDComplete all state and agency required training per state guidelinesValid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving recordExperience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilitiesKnowledge of state regulatory agency operations and standards relevant to supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilitiesTeam oriented with demonstrated leadership experienceExperience with problem solving against multiple prioritiesAbility to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supportsAbility to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situationsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent time management skillsWhy Community Options?
