Principal Business Analyst

Job Duties: Responsible for capturing customer requirements, translating them into functional specifications and configuration guides, and verifying deployment of Edifecs' products. Define business rules, translation rules and other configuration items for installation of Edifecs software to meet business needs within Healthcare domain. Guide client business and technical teams in defining requirements, translating requirements into functional specifications, and assisting during implementation. Develop test plans and test cases for transactions and execute test cases when required. Manage project deliverables and timelines as a project manager when required. Deliver product training to new clients. Conduct reviews of functional implementation and guide others. Create reusable templates and materials over the course of implementations and contribute to knowledge base. Work with Product Technical Support and Development teams when resolving customer or internal product issues. Ensure quality of a complete product by being involved from inception through release phases of the development life cycle. Serve as domain and functional expert for customer and internal teams. Must be willing to travel as needed - approximately 80%. No international travel. Telecommuting available. Multiple openings.
Job Requirements: Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field, plus 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in business/system analysis in the healthcare industry, including:6 years of experience interpreting requirements and developing functional specifications;6 years of experience performing root cause analysis of claims or encounter data and developing recommendations based on data and industry knowledge;4 years of experience working with Healthcare EDI transactions including HL7, HIPAA (837, 277, 835), and NCPDP;4 years of experience testing and test planning of large enterprise systems;4 years of experience leading/managing teams;3 years of experience with encounters submissions and error corrections within Medicare, Medicaid or ACA lines of business; and3 years of experience with provider, member, and inbound claims data compliance in relation to encounters submission requirements.Alternate Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field, plus 3 years of experience in business/system analysis in the healthcare industry, including:
3 years of experience interpreting requirements and developing functional specifications;3 years of experience performing root cause analysis of claims or encounter data and developing recommendations based on data and industry knowledge;3 years of experience working with Healthcare EDI transactions including HL7, HIPAA (837, 277, 835), and NCPDP;2 years of experience testing and test planning of large enterprise systems;2 years of experience leading/managing teams;2 years of experience with encounters submissions and error corrections within Medicare, Medicaid or ACA lines of business; and2 years of experience with provider, member, and inbound claims data compliance in relation to encounters submission requirements.

Note: The expected base pay range for this position is $129,147 - $180,848 per year. Base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, and experience.
