What you will be doing:Interrogate, analyze, comprehend, and interpret various Engineering Drawings, Models, Bills of Materials, Technical Specifications, Quality Documents, Bell Process Framework, and departmental procedures as necessary to perform assigned work.Provides MCAD operational models and 2D drawings for manufacturing process planning sequences as required.Provide process liaison support for manufacturing operations when MCAD models with 2D drawings exist as required.Develops, Creates and Maintains Tooling/Fixture definition for manufacturing operations for all media types including MCAD and manual legacy designs.Executes creation and maintenance of CAM programs and operator instructions forNumerical Controlled equipment.Responsible for developing, creating, and maintaining Loft MCAD models, flat patterns and associated digital tooling programs.Working knowledge of NC Programming, Loft, Engineering, Tool Design,Manufacturing and Planning processes and procedures.Skilled in the concept related to the application of GD&T/Aerospace tolerances.Supports producibility assessments when requested.Maintains records and schedules of work assigned.Will meet established company cost control standards, schedule and quality requirements to maintain market competitiveness.Provide technical assistance to procurement and suppliers as determined by management.Execute strong communication skills, both verbal and written, required to communicate and interact between internal and external customers.Apply extensive aircraft manufacturing knowledge and be prepared to train, direct, instruct, mentor and check/validate Production Engineering work.Required to attend training and complete competency-based testing as required by management to remain current with technological advancements.QualificationsBS mechanical engineering.8+ years relevant experience with tilt rotor aircraftKnowledge of GD&T basicsProficient in CATIA v6Preferred: 3Dx experience, Airframe/AerostructurePhysical Requirements & Work Environment:Mostly Office Environments, Occasional Shop Floor involvement.Substantial amounts of telephone, video conferencing and computer work.Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9AM to 4PMAbility to use personal transportation to visit customer locations.US Citizen is required due to nature of workThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
