Frequent travel for weeks at a time
Position Description :Install new equipment and perform customer acceptance tests.Provide remote technical support and maintenance and operational training to customers.Troubleshoot equipment issues onsite, perform necessary repairs and test the equipment.Write detailed/accurate reports upon job completion and maintain a clean/safe work environment.
Requirements:Associates in Electro-Mechanical or Mechatronics technology or 3-5 years of relevant experience.Must be able to travel extensively in the United States, Mexico, Canada and occasionally in Europe.Strong electrical and mechanical skills for onsite troubleshooting and repair.Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.Experience with ladder logic and PLC systems (i.e. Siemens, Allen Bradley, and Bachmann).Experience with servo drives (Siemens) and experience with Profinet/Ethercat communications.Ability to interpret schematics (electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic) and mechanical blueprints.Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.Ability to use common troubleshooting and measuring equipment such as a multimeter, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.Work independently or a team environment and be in the field for sustained periods of time.Ability to lift 50 lbs, valid drivers license, passport and clean record.
