Locum - Physician - Gastroenterology Silverdale, WA

Job Title: Physician Job Specialty: Gastroenterology Job Duration: 13 months Shift: Days, Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Not specified License: Active Washington license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) Letter of Qualification in hand Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA Must-Have: - Board Certified in Gastroenterology- Completion of Gastroenterology Fellowship- Malpractice history preferred clean- Available for 7 consecutive days per month Job Description: - Provide gastroenterology hospital coverage, including performing procedures and providing inpatient rounding and consultations.- Required procedures: EGD and Colonoscopy, preferably ERCP.- Perform 6-8 procedures per day on average.- Handle patient types including GI endoscopy patients, adults, inpatients, and patients on call.- Use Epic for Electronic Medical Records (EMR).- Supported by a nursing staff.- Rounding is required.- No clinic duties; focus is entirely on hospital coverage.- Orienting prior to the start date; half the hourly rate applies to orientation or training beyond 8 hours.- Call schedule from 3 PM to 7 AM on weeknights and 24 hours on weekends.- Preferred lodging details and travel guidelines to be discussed.- Must provide the city of travel origin. *Reason for coverage is due to provider retirement. Hospitalists handle inpatient admissions and GI consults. Anesthesiologist is available for anesthesia with occasional use of Nurse Conscious Sedation.*
