Job Title: Hand Stainer
Job Description
The candidate will start in hand staining, locating wood from the staging area, bringing it back to their workstation, and working directly from a sample book to apply stain until the correct color is achieved. They will be staining various pieces of wood including quarter round, t-molding, reducers, and stair nose. Each piece of wood weighs no more than 10 lbs. The candidate will blend stain using tints and clear base provided, then apply by hand to raw wood or composite material using staining napkins. Other potential job duties include being trained into the spray booth after learning the basics of hand staining.ResponsibilitiesLocate wood from the staging area and transport it to the workstation.Work from a sample book to apply stain until the correct color is achieved.Stain various pieces of wood including quarter round, t-molding, reducers, and stair nose.Blend stain using tints and clear base provided.Apply stain by hand to raw wood or composite material using staining napkins.Train into the spray booth after mastering hand staining basics.Essential SkillsExperience in woodworking and manufacturing operations.Knowledge of production and assembly processes.Proficiency in staining techniques.General labor experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrefer candidates with 6+ months of manufacturing experience.Why Work Here?
