The Data Office within the Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) function oversees the end-to-end data “ecosystem” including data governance, architecture, standards, controls, metrics, Data Concern Resolution Management (DCRM), reporting and risk management. Objectives include improving data governance and management; defining and maintaining the data architecture and standards; increasing business and functional engagement; improving data comprehensiveness, quality and coverage; reducing the inventory of data issues; and accelerating data access and validation for new projects.

The team partners with subject matter experts in Compliance, Compliance Technology, the Chief Data Office and other groups to drive strategy and remediate concerns.

The Data Quality Lead is a seasoned professional role responsible for leading implementation and monitoring execution of data quality controls within ICRM, overseeing investigation and remediation of detected breaks and driving adoption of Citi Data Governance Policy principles across ICRM. The lead works closely with various departments to identify, analyze and resolve data related problems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the ICRM Data Quality Measurement process, produce Data Quality dashboards and reports, conduct periodic reviews and implement Data Quality strategies to effectively govern data and improve Data Quality

Collaborate with appropriate business stakeholders/remediation owners to implement data quality controls and processes to prevent future data concerns.

Support implementation of the Citi Data Governance Policy across ICRM, including identification of Data and Technology Owners, Authoritative Data Sources, documentation of data at rest and data in motion

Lead data improvement initiatives, processes, and creation of tools in line with requirements

Liaise with other areas of the firm to understand data challenges and solutions, and/or run data consumption demand and requirements

Review quality analysis results and disposition data quality breaks, report true defects through Citi's Data Concern Remediation Management process

Lead day to day activities to support data quality resolution, and to optimize metrics reporting process

Support senior management strategic vision

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating managing and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

5-7 years experience with defining and implementing Data Quality programs; Banking or Finance industry preferred

Ability to work independently, efficiently organizing work on multiple priorities with a limited level of direct supervision

Ability to monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes, with the ability to anticipate and balance needs of multiple stakeholders

Ability to communicate effectively to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences

Experience in one or more ICRM processes would be an asset

Education:

Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
