YouTube Resource Management is responsible for planning and provisioning resources, leveraging infrastructure in compute, networking, and storage to provide experience to viewers and creators, while balancing YouTube's cost objectives at scale.
As Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for forecasting and managing data-center and resource growth within a cost envelope by partnering with developers, SRE, and infrastructure teams so that resources are available when needed. You will manage cross-functional programs to drive transparency and insights into resource growth trends . You will lead efficiency efforts, enhance provisioning processes, and policies in partnership with YouTube Resource Management Engineering.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Lead projects by working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, communicate with cross-functional partners, analyze usage trends, and partner with engineers to estimate and acquire resources for feature launches while adhering to financial objectives.Become a subject-matter-expert and consultant on technical and financial trade-offs in data-center resource management, and provide supply-chain and infrastructure teams with a rolling 18-month forecast that aligns to budget endorsements.Partner with YouTube Resource Management engineering to design and build tooling to help scale the planning process, triage resource-requests to fund new launches, system-migrations, and infrastructure projects while maintaining supply buffers.Ideate efficiency opportunities to scale resources sublinear to demand growth and efficiency opportunities/ideas to reduce growth.Manage reserves policy and processes to meet annual goals, and identify excess supply to divest to central infrastructure teams.
