Duties:
We are looking for a Specialty Underwriting Manager to join our Management & Professional Liability (M&PL) team!
This key role will focus on leadership and management of our Southwest Region underwriting team. PHLY provides a great platform to continually grow and develop your underwriting knowledge, sales acumen, and distribution management skills while working with some of the best agents in the country. Great opportunity for a manager looking for a company that provides autonomy, support, and senior level authority, while working in a team environment.
A typical day will include the following:
- Determine acceptability, conditions, and pricing of accounts within PHLY appetite and authority level.
- Maintain and develop relationships with assigned agency partners
- Monitor loss experience and business conditions of key accounts
- Lead a team of underwriters and other staff to meet the service needs of large multi-product customers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge products and target markets in the management liability line of business segment.
- Market products to Agency partners within assigned territory. This role will also occasionally accompany PHLY Marketing Represen
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent is strongly preferred
- 10 years of underwriting experience in professional liability with carrier or broker, D&O, E&O, Cyber preferred
- 2-4 years of supervisory experience
- Must have demonstrated marketing and agency development skills/experience
Bonus/Annual Incentive:
This position is eligible to participate in the Company's Annual Incentive Plan.
