PURCHASING MANAGER - INDIRECT MATERIALS (TECHNOLOGY)SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN - WORLD HEADQUARTERS
The Role:
Your work will include, but is not limited to:The development, support and deployment of global sourcing and negotiation strategies ensuring cross functional collaboration and alignment with key stakeholders to achieve optimal solutions and global standardization in the procurement of Software, Hardware and IT Professional Services.Possibly lead team of IT buyers in the execution of sourcing strategies, supplier consolidation, supplier identification/validation, sourcing execution, contract negotiation, savings idea generation, savings performance, and ongoing performance management.Ensure compliance to global and regional procedures, policies, and regulations.Provide departmental and cross functional training of processes and regulations.Manage team culture and employee development.Advantages of working at Lear in the Non-Prod Purchasing group:

Minimum 5 years of progressive purchasing and leadership experience in indirect purchasing.Minimum 3 years in IT Space (purchasing or operational)Direct experience negotiating with vendors (preferably IT suppliers)In-depth knowledge of sourcing and purchasing principles and best practices with strong process and controls knowledge and execution.Bonus If You Have:
Experience in an automotive manufacturing organization is a plus.Experience managing small teams
