Controls Field Service Engineer

Job Title: Controls Field Service EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a talented Regional Service Technician to provide technical support/service to customers throughout the complete life of a machine. As a machinery expert, you will offer advice and physical assistance to customers in identifying problems associated with the operation of the equipment and provide innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and economy. You will assist with applications, start-up integration, and emergency field service, requiring broad use of independent judgment, discretion, and technical skills. Extensive travel, including weekends and occasional international travel, will be required.Responsibilities include:Installing, integrating, repairing, and troubleshooting complex machinery.Ensuring all established inspection, testing, quality, and operating specifications are met.Directing and/or supervising customer personnel during plant machinery installations, integrations, or servicing.Identifying and correcting hardware or software discrepancies.Maintaining positive customer relationships and identifying new product opportunities.Working from complex engineering drawings, specifications, and manuals.Providing assistance and work support for the plant Operations Department.Supporting the Aftermarket group by responding to technical inquiries.Functioning as a technical resource for Sales and Engineering Design Departments.Preparing trip reports updating the company on the status and condition of installed equipment and identifying additional equipment/parts opportunities.Hard Skills+ PLC+ troubleshooting+ electricalWork EnvironmentCompany located in Waukesha, WI. Candidates need to be comfortable with 75% travel nationwide, usually traveling 2 or 3 weeks out of the month, with attempts to get them home every weekend.
